The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 10 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
–Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
–Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma
Total Pages Read: 432
Notes: My day has been extremely hectic due to school and all, so I didn’t read nearly as much as I would have liked to. Only one book down in three days of a challenge is pitiful. However, I plan to read a lot of Les Miserables tonight, so hopefully tomorrow is more of a success!
UPDATE: 5/14 10:38 PM
I know that I said that I’d be reading Les Miserables, but my brother has been pestering me for a while to read the sequel to the book The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer (which we both enjoyed), The Lord of Opium. It’s definitely a lighter read than Les Miserables, so I think that I’ll be able to finish it in about two days before beginning Les Miserables.
