Most Anticipated Reads of 2016

First off, I just want to say a huge sorry for my recent absence on this blog. School has been even busier and even more trying than I anticipated it would be, so it’s been rough trying to find a balance between school, debate, my other extracurriculars and this blog. I think I’ve finally settled into things, though, and I’m making it a resolution to keep up with a regular schedule on this blog.

I thought I might as well kick off the first post of the year with a post talking about the books I’m most looking forward to being published this year!

*These books are not displayed in any particular order of preference

1. The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater (The Raven Cycle #4) | Publication date: April 26, 2016

17378527

The Raven Cycle is one of my all time favorite series, so I’m beyond excited to read its final installment. To be honest, though, I’m also simultaneously terrified- those who have also read the series know exactly why.

2. Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard (Red Queen #2) | Publication date: February 9, 2016

23174274

Although Red Queen isn’t an absolute favorite of mine, I did really enjoy it- I definitely enjoyed it enough to look forward to the release of its sequel, Glass Sword. (Also, I’m just as in love with Glass Sword’s cover as I was with Red Queen’s).

3. The Winner’s Kiss by Marie Rutkoski (The Winner’s Trilogy #3) | Publication date: March 29, 2016

27852434

The Winner’s Crime left off on an extremely traumatic cliffhanger, and I’m extremely anxious to see where the third installment of The Winner’s Trilogy will take the storyline and the characters.

I know this is a short list, and this isn’t to say that these three books are the only books that I’m anticipating for 2016- these three books are just the books that I absolutely, 100%, totally have to get my hands on. If there are any books you think I’m missing, let me know which in the comments!
